My Wife Elizabeth Needs A Type O Kidney Asap

My wife, Elizabeth, desperately needs a type O kidney. She is in renal failure and needs to have a transplant from a living donor. None of her sibling or other relatives are a good match. I am looking for that special person who would be willing to be tested for a possible match. I'm not ready to let go of her yet. If you are interested in being tested please respond to this blog.

Elizabeth has been my wife for going on 24 wonderful years. She has also been a caring mother to our now grown son. She is currently writing a book about her health experiences. Her medical history has been incredible - she was diagnosed with diabetes at age 4 and suffered all the usual consequences of that disease - including kidney disease, retinopathy, cardiovascular disease, neurgenic bladder, hypertension, pericarditis, fibromalgia, and stroke. Recently she has struggled with gangrene in her left toe. She has had numerous surgeries - too many to count but she is like a prize fighter in a ring taking punches in the ropes but able to come back the next round. Now she is feeling the effects of toxins in her bloodstream and feels miserable much of the time. I am seeing continual deterioration in her ability to function as a result of her failing kidney. We would be eternally grateful for anyone who is willing to be tested.

Dad -

Great talking to you yesterday, sorry I had to cut it short.

This is a good post, just long enough to get your point across. Clearly you're experimenting with getting the message out about Mom. I would have to say, of course, that there are better ways to do it than posting on a journal that only two people are allowed to read!

Other than setting up a dot com website, something you could think about doing would be 1) opening this blog up for public viewing 2) making the blog focus more overtly on Mom's situation (although you could still make it YOUR blog, with your own daily thoughts and anecdotes mixed in) 3) find a network of bloggers/web boards of organ donation communities and post responses to recent entries, throwing in references to your blog (once it has some more substantial entries with more information). I'm sure there are many such networks already. In fact, try searching blogger.com, and make sure you label the topics of your entries to "kidney needed" or "organ donation" etc to increase the likelihood that someone will find your posts. Oh yeah, and finally, make sure your blog settings enable anyone to post. I wouldn't be worried about mischief.

This should really not be all that difficult...you should be able to make this happen. There are plenty of websites dedicated to helping you get exposure for any given issue. Let me know if you'd like me to help with this...I've got plenty of free time between now and until school starts.

did you start building that telescope yet?

love
